Hudson Reed makes me laugh.
And he also makes me want to tear my hair out at times.
But I adore him, and he sure does keep things interesting around here!
This picture couldn't showcase the differences in these brothers any clearer...
Hudson loves his big brother, affectionately known by him as "Douldy" (rhymes with should-y). He has called Carter this since he could first talk. We think it might be his version of Buddy, since that's what we call him a lot of the time. And he loves Kate (who was known for a long time as "Date") and "Bee-Bee" too. I actually think he called her Mollie the other day, but 99.9% of the time she's referred to as "Bee-Bee."
Like "Oh, Mommy, Bee-bee's wake." Or "Bee-bee nye?" (cry)
And "Buh-bo" is Bailey. He's not too sure about her,
especially after last summer's biting incident : (
And he definitely DOES NOT like any other dog, big or small.
Particularly small.
He's a big family guy. Prays for us every night.
"Ah God, pay my Douldy, pay my Kate, pay my Bee-Bee,
pay my Daddy, pay me, pay my Mommy. Men."
He has his own little language. Hudsonese.
Where motorcycle = dah-do;
off = wofsh; water = wa-wa; pizza = bubba;
ok = nay (like I say "Hey Hudson, please put your shoes in the basket. H-"Nay.");
here = hay ("Me sit right hay");
food = wude ("Me want mo wude");
monster truck = monmy tuck ("Monmy tuck on my nirt." (shirt))
Playing his "duh-dye". I love the stance.
He's figured out how to hold it correctly now...used to hold it very creatively,
but now he's ready to jam.
I recognize this look.
This is classic "I don't want to do what you've just asked me to do" Hudson.
This boy has a will of steel.
He's figured out how to dress himself, and undress himself.
Sometimes things get a little misplaced.
and waves enthusiastically, saying "Bye-bye my moo-moo!" with a big smile.
And that he'll come out so proud and say "Me go BIG moo-moo."
And he loves to eat. Always has.
Most every morning, as soon as he wakes up he says
"Mommy, me ready eat wude."
Check out Cheeto-face and hands.
Love this little guy. Never a dull moment with him around.
I have word from a very reliable source that about 30 years ago,
there was another little boy with white-blond hair and big blue eyes
that looked and acted a lot like Hudson.
Guess that saying is true. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
