Buzzed

Way back when in July 2008, this is what Carter's hair looked like.

He was 20 months old and had never had a haircut.

I was holding out for curls like Kate's, but he only had a few.

Several years, and haircuts, later...I got the curls I was looking for.

But, I'm learning more and more everyday, it's not about what I want.

Gotta let go of that. (It's hard.)

Ever since Hudson got his buzz cut back in January, Carter has been asking for one, too.

And here, we've broken the news that tonight is the night.

His response? Yessssss!!!

Hudson went first, to show him what it's like.

Next up...big brother.

(I had worked on him with scissors first while Hudson was going.)

He was excited, as you can see.

Until Daddy got a little close to the ears...

Carter must have been having flashbacks of Hudson's ear getting cut a few weeks ago.

Hudson was right there with him the whole time.
