It's always hard to come back after a vacation. But it did make it easier knowing that the Jenkins family was in Wake Forest for a few days! Bowdie and Andrea are on the Board of Visitors for the seminary and came up last week for a meeting. It was so great to see them and their boys!! We came back from Hilton Head on Saturday, so after we unpacked the car, we headed over to the Robinsons house for the UGA game and got to spend time with the Lyons, Jenkins and the Robinsons. Here I am with Stephanie, Andrea and Catherine.
After the game, we got to use the firepit in the backyard to roast marshmallows and make smores. It's finally cool enough at night now and it was so fun! Kate and Carter were intrigued by the whole idea. After they got completely sticky from eating their marshmallows, they enjoyed running around and playing with all the kids...I think there were 13 kids total (Reed 3, Jenkins 3, Lyon 2, Robinson 3 + 2 friends sleeping over)!

Carter found Tori's helmet and of course, had to put it on! Since it was big for his head, he had to hold it when he was running or it would fall off. That boy is hilarious!
This is the first time Carter and Hudson have been together in the double stroller to go shopping with me. They did really well...Hudson got poked several times, but he seems to be used to it by now :)

As if it weren't enough of a treat to have the Jenkins in town until Tuesday, we also got to see Josh's cousin Jon Reed! There was a big evangelism conference going on this week over at SEBTS and Jon was in town for that. We had him over for dinner Tuesday night and so enjoyed being able to just sit down and visit!

I think I've mentioned that the Lyons moved back into Wake Forest and now they live 3 minutes from us. We stopped by to play for a little while after school on Wednesday and by the looks of it, it was a popular idea! Here's Carter with sweet little Abby (she just turned one last week!) We actually came up last October for our first Wake Forest scouting trip after Josh had applied to the seminary and got to see Abby when she wasn't even a week old...and now she's one already...

Check out me and Carter beside this mountain of laundry that's waiting to be folded...he woke up from his nap but fell back asleep on me while I was holding him. Knowing how fast time passes and how they grow so quickly, I was glad to just have a sweet moment to sit with my baby and know that the laundry could wait...

Mom got Kate some paint and she's been anxiously waiting to try it out. Here is our little artist hard at work.

And last but certainly not least, Hudson rolled over today for the first time! I was sitting right there with him when he did it, but didn't have my camera. It's a good thing he was feeling cooperative because he did it a second time and I caught it on camera. If I would have been thinking fast enough, I would have videoed instead but it's just some action shots for now!
Hooray for another milestone reached!!

I really like how you featured every child in this post. Your children are just precious. I look forward to getting to know Hudson. The UGA game seemed like a blast. I would have come but my parents were in town. I would have come today as well, but it started at 12:30 and we had a birthday party to attend in our neighborhood. Usually, Laney naps at 1:00 anyways though.
Anyhoo, can't wait to hang out with you and the fam soon! We're so glad you're up here. Any leads on a house or job? We are still praying and waiting in expectation!
