Our Kate-Kate turned eight today!
I feel like the years are passing by faster and faster...
We decorate the dining room for all of their birthdays, and for Kate's, I actually was ahead of the game and had presents out and wrapped too!
Sweet birthday girl...going out for a 'Donuts with Dad' date for her birthday breakfast.
Mimi and Auntie Daria were in town to celebrate with us, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Tea Room in downtown Wake Forest.
Sampling the tea. She kind of liked it, but probably not her favorite...
Kate has the whole process nailed, even down to the exact number of sugar lumps she likes to put in.
A good opportunity for the boys to learn some etiquette. They did well!
Mollie was sleepy waiting for our lunch.
She perked right up when her strawberry soup arrived!
Kate chose hats for all of us to wear, taking care to choose 'boy' hats for her brothers. (We brought the birthday girl her own crown to wear!)
After lunch, Mimi treated Kate to a pedicure, and me too : )
(She said the kids' birthdays are for Mom, too. Yes!!! Super awesome treat, especially on my 34 week pregnant feet!)
Yay for pretty toes!!
Mimi and her assistant, making Kate's cake.
Daddy brought home sweetheart roses for our birthday girl...especially appropriate because he often calls Kate 'sweetheart'.
The Lyons met up with us for dinner at Over the Falls and then came back to our house for cake and presents.
Checking out their matching 'Best Friends' necklaces that Anna Kate gave Kate as a gift.
Sweet friends.
Thanks Steph, for reminding us to get a family pic, and encouraging us to do a funny face one!
Happy Birthday, sweet Kate! Eight is great : )
