Gum

Today while Kate, Carter and I were doing school, I noticed that Hudson and Mollie were really, really quiet.  
I figured they were happy and didn't go back and check on them, opting instead to capitalize on the quiet for some good teaching time.  Mistake!

Look what I found when I did go check...

No wonder they were quiet!!  Between the two of them, they chewed, and swallowed, 52 pieces of gum!  A quick call was made to the pediatrician to make sure what I needed to do for them...the nurse and I got a good laugh once she told me that since it was sugar-free gum there was no concern of any kind of intestinal blockage because the sweetener used actually acts as a laxative!?  Learn something new every day : )

And, I'm reminded...always go check on them when they are quiet!!
