I love Thanksgiving. Family, friends, food...good stuff! And once again, this year's Thanksgiving looked different than years past. No traveling back to Georgia this year to be with family, so we planned to get together with friends. But instead of a traditional meal, we all planned to do appetizers. We were game for that, but as the day approached, Josh and I both found ourselves sad about missing our annual Thanksgiving meal. Then happily, we found a solution: we'd do a traditional meal on Wednesday. Which actually worked out good for my carb-loading as my half-marathon was Thanksgiving morning : ) We had a great meal, all our faves, plus I had lots of helpers in the kitchen! We invited our friend June over to eat with us, and we rounded out the evening by watching Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving. It turned out to be a great Thanksgiving! Much to be thankful for in 2011...
