Josh got to preach for the first time this Sunday! He's taking a preaching class this semester, and has gotten to preach 3 times in class, but this was his first time to preach on a Sunday.
A friend from class who is a pastor asked Josh to come preach as part of a revival they were doing. So we all loaded up and drove down to Staley, NC to hear him preach on Philemon.
(And he did an amazing job! So proud of him...)
It was about a 2 hour drive to get there, and Kate kept busy writing her Daddy some notes to encourage him...
One really cool thing was that the church was founded in 1755.
Kate has been learning about the colonies recently, and thought it was so cool that this church was started during that same time period in history. The pictures on the bottom looked like they were of the original church building.
And, this church was actually part of a period of church history that
Josh learned about in his Baptist History class. Pretty cool!
