It's so fun having both the boys in preschool this year! Their classes are diagonally across the hall from each other so they get to see each other a lot. And, we get to have double the fun participating in all their activities!
Like Thanksgiving feasts.
We got to go to Hudson's first.
I love his hand-made placemat (no pun intended!).
The timing of it was perfect because Mom was in town for Carter's birthday, and arrived in time to come to Hudson's feast. An extra blessing to be thankful for!
The next week, it was time for Carter's feast. It was for all the 4 year old classes at LLLC, so it was a lot bigger than Hudson's, which was just his class. Each of the classes performed a little song or recited something from the Bible.
Carter's class sang
"I'm glad I'm not a turkey, a turkey, a turkey;
I'm glad I'm not a turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
They'll stuff you and bake you
and then they will taste you;
I'm glad I'm not a turkey on Thanksgiving Day!"
(to the tune of "Have you ever seen a Lassie?")
Crafts and placemat that he made.
I love that Carter is thankful 'that all the stories in the Bible are true'. And I love that he mentions Jesus, family, and Star Wars. Love this glimpse into my boy's heart.
One of the things we've been most thankful for during our season of seminary is that Josh has been able to be a part of so many of these fun events that the kids are involved in.
It means so much to have him there with us.
The gift of time is a blessing we are utterly grateful for.
Look at this cute dessert idea!
The 'turkey' is a big marshmallow with a Hershey kiss beak,
and Kit-Kats and M&Ms for feathers.
Playing tag with our tablemates after feasting.
Mollie wanted down.
Apparently I wasn't fast enough. Too busy taking pictures : )
Carter and his buddy Caroline. They've been buds since the first week of school, and we got to sit with and meet her family at the feast. She has an older sister Kate's age, and they had a good time getting to know each other!
Our whole family loves Mrs. Streit.
She says Hudson runs to hug her when he sees her in the halls.
Kate enjoys stopping in to visit her former teacher every now and then,
and we stopped by after the big feast to get a Thanksgiving picture!
We're thankful for Mrs. Dawn (and Mrs. Theresa, too!)
and Mrs. Allison (and Mrs. Lori, too!)
