We flew in and out of Orlando for the Garrett's wedding, and we wanted to take Kate and Carter to do something Disney before we left. The last time we were there (in 2008) we didn't make it to Downtown Disney, so we decided to go there for the day before our flight back to RDU that evening. There were a lot of cool things to see and do! (plus it's free admission!!)
Josh keeps me laughing all the time. Love this man. And I also laugh looking at Carter in this picture, trying to figure out what in the world his daddy is doing...
This was a cool visual coming off a couple weeks of learning about the solar system at Reed Academy...
And look who we met up with!! Team Robinson : )
They were on a Disney vacation for their fall break, and came over to Downtown Disney to have lunch with us and hang out for a bit. How fun to see them all the way down in Orlando, FL!
Carter couldn't wait to hit the Lego store! He's gotten really into them over the past six months or so. He thought it was so cool to walk in and see a gigantic Woody from Toy Story (another of his faves)
He's also suddenly very interested in Star Wars, although he's never seen it. They had an entire wall of Star Wars legos, and several display cases. Here's a line-up of the main Star Wars guys.
And a giant Buzz, too!
We gave each of the kids some money to pick something out. Of course, Carter wanted to get some Legos, and he was very careful to weigh all his options. He left a satisfied customer : )
He was so pumped to walk out and see a gigantic version of what he just bought!
Me and my princess
Their website says they have the world's biggest Disney store. I believe them! We spent a lot of time in there looking at all the stuff.
Ice cream time!
Kate decided to use her money to get a caricature done. We were proud of her for weighing all her options before spending her money, and loved her choice! A true keepsake.
Here's our sweet rental car. We wound up getting a free upgrade to a Volvo! We promised Hudson we'd get a picture of it. He asked us about it everytime we talked to him!
The kids made up a song about it, too. "Drivin' in our new ren-tal car...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah"
They obviously paid good attention to Daniel Creswell's rap
about his sabbatical a few weeks ago!

I love that you guys seek out the free stuff. Often it's just as fun if not more so! I'll look to you for inspiration as we attempt a budget year in 2012. Also love that you have someone that makes you laugh :)
