I'm not going to lie...I'm a little sad about it. My girl is growing up fast.

But she looks so cute with her new smile...

Gingerbread Houses

I love our local library.

Our kids always jump at the chance to go and get books.

We got a special treat this week and they got to go to the library to get books AND make gingerbread houses! Bonus!

Here Comes the Bride

My kids love to play wedding. They've got the whole thing down.

Kate is the bride (of course!), Carter is the groom and Hudson is the ring-bearer.

(Justin and Rachel so nicely donated a bride hat and a groom hat that they got at one of their wedding showers and the kids have gotten plenty of use out of them!)

Carter stands by the front door and waits for Kate to walk down the aisle (the hallway). Hudson either stays up there with Carter or walks down with Kate. They speak a little, say 'I do' and then they hug and kiss (in a completely appropriate, brother-sister kind of way, ha ha!!) And then they repeat the whole thing.

I love imaginations in action...

It's Snowing!

Snowflakes appeared and, tiny as they were, the kids threw on their jackets and ran out to try and catch some. With their mouths. Crackin' me up.

Then it was back inside to hang and wait to see if it would stick.

And it did!!

Not much, I think only a few inches, but it sure was beautiful!

Carter was learning about Jonah this week at school.

Curls

Hudson has the most beautiful curls...perfectly formed...bouncing, beautiful, blond curls. We've enjoyed them so much that we have never cut them. Until the other day. When he got out of the bath and I saw that his wet hair was half-way down his back, I knew it was time.

So, after almost two and a half years, Hudson's hair was introduced to scissors. A sad day for this mommy...because the fear that I had that they wouldn't come back seems to be coming true. Sigh. Guess that's just part of my baby growing up.

Christmas Cards

Most years I try to get a (decent) family shot for our Christmas card. I didn't have the energy for it this year though, so I decided to do one of those cool cards where you can add several individual pictures.

I was pleasantly surprised at how little time it took to get a good picture of each of the kids!

Catherine asked me to take some pictures of their family so they could get a card out too. They didn't choose to use either of these shots, but these were two of my faves.
