How about a co-op field trip to a chocolate factory? Even better, a cool, local chocolate factory in an old, historic building in downtown Raleigh? The week before Valentine's Day?
Couldn't be more perfect.
We got to see the whole process, from the way the beans arrive, to what they do with them, every step of the process until they are a chocolate bar wrapped and ready to sell!
Really cool.
After our tour, the wife of the owner fielded questions from the kids. After they asked their question, they each got a mini-chocolate bar to sample.
