Friendly Faces

We've had a big week here in Wake Forest!  On Monday, the kids and I went to Hollie Carson's for a playdate.  The weather has been chilly for a few weeks now, but it was bright and sunny out that day so they got to play outside with Laney.  We'll definitely do it again soon because the kids had a great time!

Mimi arrived on Tuesday :)  It was great having her here, as always!  Here they are, all comfy in the yellow chair.

Here's Hudson looking so cute in his winter hat.  It's Carter's old hat, and I can so vividly remember him wearing it as a baby...crazy how fast time goes by!
And the most fun about this picture is that it was taken in what will be our new home in Wake Forest!!!  We have found a house to rent, with THREE bedrooms (what a luxury that seems these days!)  We're not official until we sign the lease but we've spoken with the landlord several times and are set to be in around the beginning of December!  It is such an answered prayer for us...we've been praying about this since the spring.  As always, God answered in His perfect timing and we get to stay close to campus, and nearly next door to George and Catherine!!  Yay!!!

It has been really cold here this week...it snowed twice!  We're wondering what kind of winter we're going to have if it's doing all this in November...Here are the kiddos all bundled up, ready to go out for the day.

Mimi and Hudson.  He's getting so big!

George and Catherine had us over for dinner on Wednesday.  Carter's birthday was Thursday and he got to celebrate it early!  Here are the Robinson kids eagerly waiting for him to open their birthday gift.  They got him a 'Spudtrooper' (a special Star Wars edition of Mr. Potato Head)...some of you may remember a picture of Josh with their 'Darth Tater' from an earlier post :)

Another treat...Bowdie was in town for business and was also over at the Robinsons on Wednesday night so we got to enjoy hanging out with him.  It's always great to see old friends up here!!

Carter is so funny to me...too tired to sit up, but not about to stop playing with his 'trucky-truck'!

We have this little birthday hamster that sings "Happy Birthday".  We've had it since Kate's 1st birthday and break it out for all our birthdays now.  I forgot to get it out on Thursday night when we were celebrating Carter's birthday, so I let him play with it Friday morning.  His dance moves were priceless...

Our angel girl

As I am quickly learning, boys need to get outside.  Often.  It's difficult to do here in West Oak, plus it's been so cold all week.  But it needed to happen, so I just let Carter out on the back porch and he was so happy to be on his bike.  Now if we could just get him to pedal...

Here are Josh and Kate coming back from collecting canned foods from our neighbors.  Our church is having a canned food drive for Thanksgiving and had asked us to go around our neighborhoods to collect food.  We've met most of the people here in West Oak, so Josh and Kate decided to go over to the government housing that is beside our complex and meet those neighbors.  They had a great time doing it, and were humbled by the generosity of the people they met.

Precious! Loved seeing the pic of the three kiddos in the back of our truck. The settings on my camera changed with that last pic of them in the truck, so it didn't turn out. I'll just copy it from your blog. Thanks!

Sounds like you had a great, full week. You're going to have so much fun being next door to the Robinsons. And when it snows, you'll be able to just walk over and play or walk to the Seminary and play. How fun!!!
