It's been a long time since Josh and I have been to the theatre to see a movie. Honestly, so long that I cannot even remember when we last went or what we saw. Time is a precious commodity, and when we have some free time, especially just the two of us, we are prone to just want to talk with one another, uninterrupted ; )
I saw Les Mis on Broadway years ago and was intrigued when I found out it was being made into a movie. We had some movie passes that had been an anniversary gift several years back (because there is no way I'd want to pay what it costs to go to the movies these days!!) so I made sure they made the trip down to GA with us and off we went to a matinee showing of Les Mis! Daria joined us which made it extra fun!
I'm always a little skittish, wondering if the time and money will be well spent or if the movie will be a dud. No disappointments here...Les Mis BLEW.US.AWAY.
Rich, rich storyline...gospel themes throughout...phenomenal cast...stunning performances...it was truly beautiful from start to finish. Well, well worth every minute.
