The night before Julie and Brady's wedding we had the rehearsal, and then the rehearsal dinner was at this gorgeous old southern home. The food was delicious, and it was fun to get to know all the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and hear a few funny stories about Julie and Brady.
And it was date-night!! We never turn down one of those...
Not sure what we're doing here, but Lauren Troxel is so fun to be around. Love being in small group with her. And, as I looked at this picture, and saw how bad my posture was, all I could hear in my head was
years of my mom telling me to stand up straight!

We were so honored and humbled that they would ask Josh to officiate their wedding. We enjoy Julie and Brady so much, so getting to hang with them through weeks of pre-marital counseling, talking about all kinds of things from what God has intended the marriage covenant to be, to roles within marriage, to communication and conflict, to intimacy, was so rich for us. Here is my man, looking sharp all dressed up, signing their marriage license!
The bridesmaids got to pick their own dresses
(within parameters Julie gave them) and they all wore cowboy boots.
Even the flower girl had some boots. Pink ones. Cuteness.
And, she carried this sign
(Well, she was two, and was supposed to but didn't actually wind up carrying the sign.
Maybe "wouldn't" would be a more accurate word! haha)
Regardless, I thought this was a really cute idea.

We went into the reception and had the best time...the food was amazing (shrimp and grits...mmm...), we got to sit and talk with one of Josh's favorite professors and his wife, laugh at the dj, and then make absolute idiots of ourselves on the dance floor.
All in all, one fabulous trip. So thankful for this sweet couple and looking forward to continuing the journey with the Plunks!!
